 Balancing of Rotating Machines

Unbalance in rotating machines is not the only cause of  vibration, although it presents one of the main sources. More important than performing balancing process is the confidence that the machine problem is the unbalance. It is one of recurring problems that need to be fixed quickly and efficiently to prevent machinery component deterioration that if kept will not be corrected by the balancing process only.

      IMT provides field balancing for wide range of machinery like gas and steam turbines, pumps,   compressors, fans and many others. IMT team uses a step-by-step approach to guarantee a successful balancing job as follows: 

 ü     Identification that the problem at hand is unbalance through using up-to-8 sensors and data acquisition system.

 ü      Foundation and machine's foot and looseness are checked.

 ü      Finding out if it is a single, two planes or multi-plane unbalance.

 ü     Finding out if it is shaft bow or coupling problem.

 ü     Identifying the balancing plane (s).

 ü     Calculation of mass correction.

 ü     Performing vibration measurement signature after the balancing job.

       The vibration signature after the balancing job will be studied in light of international standards and given to the client for his book keeping.
